Published in 1967, All the Beasts of Burden is an allegorical novel in the style of 1984 or Farenheit 451.
It tells the story of the oppression of a people crushed under an inhuman and absurd bureaucracy, but with a strong will to survive. The events take place in an imaginary country during years of ersecution and resistance, of doubts and weaknesses, of submission and control.
