Synopsis:

After a short failed literary career, young writer Nicolau Comagran returns to Majorca to change his life. He starts working at the Hotel Indira, a slightly decadent establishment which has belonged to his family since the 50s and had its heyday in the 60s. In this new world, presided over by old ghosts and unfair competition, Nico falls in love with Natàlia, the girlfriend of his worst rival and business enemy, and they begin a wild love affair marked by the past, secrets, dissatisfaction, fatality and lies.

Hotel Indira is a novel about the need to know oneself in order to be able to face life and be happy. A novel about the difficult acceptance of one’s own limits, about the pain of loss and the need for consolation, and about confronting life’s unmanageable heartaches.
